Treatment Highlight -Sciatica

Sciatica causes back pain that radiates down the lower back and leg. This pain occurs when the sciatic nerve becomes pinched by a herniated disk or bone spur in the spine. Sciatica typically only affects one side of the body and can be triggered by activities such as extended periods of sitting or poor posture.
Most cases of sciatica can be treated with nonsurgical procedures such as spinal injections and physical therapy. For more severe cases, lumbar decompression surgery may be needed.
