Dr. Hurt enjoys the challenge of treating a wide range of orthopaedic issues including ligamentous knee injuries (ACL, PCL, MCL, LCL tears and dislocations), meniscal tears, patellar instability, knee and shoulder arthritis, shoulder instability and rotator cuff tears. He also performs cartilage restoration procedures and has expertise in orthopaedic biologics (STEM cells, PRP, etc.).
Dr. Hurt is double Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has extensive expertise in the treatment of shoulder and knee conditions and sports injuries in adult and pediatric populations. Dr. Hurt previously served as a team physician for Jackson State University, Tougaloo College, as well as the Mississippi Braves (AA Professional Baseball team). He now serves in the same role for area junior high schools, high schools, as well as Mississippi State University.
