Dr. Hall serves as one of our team doctors for Mississippi State University and Mississippi University for Women. As a spine surgeon and orthopedic doctor he helps student-athletes and coaches with spine injuries, as well as painful neck and back conditions. Dr. Hall was drawn to be an orthopedic spine surgeon for the complexity and importance of the spine in every movement.  During his spine fellowship year, he received advanced training to help patients with back injuries, neck injuries, stiff necks and those experiencing immobility and pain in their back or neck, as well as spinal cord and nerve injuries.

Dr. Hall is passionate about getting patients back to enjoying life as quickly as possible, and in many cases, spine patients can get better without having surgery.  In these cases, Dr. Hall works with his specially trained physical therapy team or pain management physician colleague.   However, there are still some spine conditions and spine injuries that require surgery to alleviate pain and restore mobility.  As a fellowship trained spine surgeon, Dr. Hall is often able to offer his patients a minimally-invasive back surgery or neck surgery which minimizes soft tissue damage and decreases the size of the incision and scar. These procedures can often be performed at the surgery center right next door. 

Dr. Hall grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mississippi State University with a degree in Biological Engineering.   While there, he was an Athletic Academic Tutor for physics and math.  Dr. Hall completed medical school at The University of Alabama at Birmingham – School of Medicine, and his orthopaedic residency at the University of Tennessee – Campbell Clinic Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.  He then spent an extra year in fellowship-training on spine conditions, neck injuries and back injuries at the University of Missouri and is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.  Dr. Hall serves as the President of Columbus Orthopaedic Clinic, P.A.

Dr. Hall has participated in numerous rural medical mission trips to countries in South America including Venezuela, Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.  He and his wife are outspoken advocates for adoption and orphan care. They are proud parents of their five children including two adopted children from Columbia.  Dr. Hall spends as much time as possible outdoors with his kids and is also an avid turkey hunter.
